Iver is the less polished corner of this area and it knows it. The village has a decent enough high street with a few shops and pubs, but it has always lived in the shadow of Gerrards Cross and the Chalfonts. What's changing everything is the Elizabeth line. Iver station now gives you a fast connection to the West End and Canary Wharf, which has brought serious developer interest. New builds are appearing, and the feel is shifting. The older village core around the church is still pleasant, and Langley Park and Black Park are on the doorstep for walks. Housing ranges from period cottages to 1960s estates to brand new flats.
