Hadlow

A quiet village with a recognisable centre around the High Street, a green, and St Mary's church. Housing is a mix of period cottages, some larger detached houses, and a few newer developments. The Hadlow Castle tower (May's Folly) is a local curiosity. Two pubs, a primary school, and enough shops for day-to-day basics. It is genuinely rural without being isolated, since Tonbridge is only about ten minutes by car and has the train station, supermarkets, and secondary schools. The surrounding countryside is flat Medway valley farmland rather than the more dramatic Weald, but pleasant for cycling and walks along the river.
