Hammersmith Broadway is the gyratory, the bus station, the shopping centre, and the convergence of the District, Piccadilly, and Hammersmith & City lines. It's a transport hub that also happens to have an Apollo concert venue and King Street running off it with shops and restaurants. The area immediately around the Broadway is commercial and noisy. It's not somewhere you'd seek out to live for its own sake, but the connectivity is hard to beat. King Street has some decent independents and the Lyric Theatre. The residential streets start a couple of blocks back.
