Hammersmith Riverside

The Thames-side stretch around Hammersmith, including the famous stretch of riverside pubs: the Dove, the Old Ship, the Rutland Arms. Upper Mall and Lower Mall are genuinely lovely, with 18th-century houses looking directly onto the river. Hammersmith Bridge (when it's open) connects to Barnes. The river rowing clubs are here. Behind the waterfront the streets become more ordinary, but the riverfront itself is one of the nicest stretches of the Thames in west London.
