Grovehill was built in the 1960s and 70s, later than the first wave of New Town estates, and it shows in the architecture. More concrete, more flat-roofed designs, a few tower blocks. The neighbourhood centre has a handful of shops but it's seen better days. There's been talk of regeneration for years. It's one of the cheaper parts of Hemel and the community is tight-knit in the way that estates often are.
