West Drayton

West Drayton has been transformed by the Elizabeth line. The station now gets you to Bond Street in under 25 minutes. The town centre is functional rather than attractive, with a mix of pound shops and takeaways alongside some newer developments. Housing is mainly Victorian terraces near the station and 1930s semis further out. Aircraft noise from Heathrow is a constant presence, which limits its appeal despite the good transport links. Yiewstwyd Way and the surrounding streets have seen some new-build flats aimed at commuters.
