The eastern side of Kidlington takes in the Gosford and Water Eaton end, stretching towards the A34. Housing here is a mix of 1950s and 60s semis and some newer estates. Gosford Hill School is the local secondary and is well regarded. The Oxford Canal towpath runs along this side, which is good for walks and cycling into Oxford. It feels more suburban than the village centre, quieter and a bit less self-contained. Bus routes along the Banbury Road corridor make getting into Oxford straightforward.
