SG1 6
Great Ashby is a large modern development built from the late 1990s onwards on what was farmland north of Stevenage. It is rows of newish detached and semi-detached houses, all quite uniform, with a community centre and a small local shopping parade. It feels like an extension of Stevenage rather than its own place, and you will use Stevenage town centre and station for most things. Families buy here because you get more space for the money than in the older parts of Stevenage or the surrounding villages. It is fine, functional, and practical, but it does not have much character yet.
