Herne Hill & Loughborough Junction

Herne Hill is two places in one. The area around the station and the Sunday market is one of south London's neighbourhood success stories, with independent shops, cafes, and a strong community. Loughborough Junction, a few streets away, is much less developed, with estates and takeaways. The contrast is stark. Herne Hill has substantial Victorian terraces and good schools. Brockwell Park is the centrepiece, with a lido, playgrounds, and a famous flower show. Loughborough Junction has Overground access and is more affordable. Both are changing, but at different speeds.
