BN7 1 / BN7 2
The older, more expensive part of Lewes, centred on the castle and the streets climbing up from it. High Street, School Hill, and the lanes off them have some of the best period properties in Sussex. The Harveys Brewery is here. Cliffe High Street has independent shops, cafes, and antique places. The area has real character, with flint walls, twittens (narrow alleys), and views across the Ouse valley. Prices are high for Lewes, but you're paying for a genuine town centre with history.
