The southern part of Lewes, named after the priory ruins. Housing here is more mixed than the castle area, with 1930s semis and some post-war estates alongside period properties. It's more affordable than central Lewes and has decent access to the station and the South Downs. The priory ruins and surrounding park give it green space. Lewes Priory School serves the area.
