Burstow, Horne and Outwood

Three tiny rural parishes grouped together between Horley and Lingfield. Outwood has a proper village green and a working windmill, which is about as picture-postcard as Surrey gets. Horne is barely a hamlet. Burstow is scattered cottages and farmland with a medieval church. You need a car for absolutely everything, and the nearest stations are Lingfield or Hurst Green. Gatwick flight paths cross parts of this area, which is worth knowing. The housing is a mix of older cottages, converted farm buildings, and some larger detached homes set back from the lanes.
