Liphook is a large village that functions as a small town, strung along the road between the A3 and the railway station. The Square has a Co-op, a few independent shops, a couple of cafes, and the usual mix of hairdressers and estate agents. It is not a destination high street but it covers the basics. Housing is a mix of 1960s and 70s estates, some newer developments, and older properties scattered around the edges. Bramshott is the older, quieter parish to the north with the church and not much else. The station gets you to Waterloo in about an hour, which keeps prices higher than you might expect for somewhere this rural. Families come here for the space and the countryside access, particularly the commons and heathland around Bramshott Chase.
