Round Green is a residential pocket that sits between the town centre and the eastern suburbs, with a small local shopping parade that is adequate for daily needs. The housing is a mix of Victorian terraces and interwar semis, and it is popular with families because the state schools in the catchment are reasonable. It does not have much personality but it delivers the basics well.
