Godstone sits right by the M25/A22 junction, which is both its strength and its weakness. The village green is genuinely pretty, with a pond, a couple of pubs, and some nice period houses around it. But the main road carries a lot of traffic and the proximity to the motorway junction means it can feel less peaceful than it looks in photos. There is a decent village shop and a primary school. Housing ranges from cottages near the green to larger detached homes on the lanes heading out towards the surrounding farmland. Popular with families who need the motorway for work but want a village address.
