Lower Willingdon

Lower Willingdon sits at the foot of the Downs where Willingdon meets the edge of Eastbourne. It feels more like a suburb of Eastbourne than part of Polegate. The housing is mostly interwar and postwar semis with some bungalows, comfortable and unremarkable. The village has a proper centre around the church and a few local shops. Willingdon Community School is the local secondary. Families like the proximity to the Downs and the fact you can walk up onto the South Downs Way from your doorstep.
