Stone Cross

Stone Cross is a sprawling residential area east of Polegate that has grown massively from new housing estates. It has a village hall and a primary school but not much else of its own. You drive to Eastbourne or Polegate for shopping. The housing stock is predominantly modern estates, some quite dense. It appeals to young families priced out of Eastbourne who need a three-bedroom house with a garden and parking. The lack of local amenities is the main grumble.
