Hampton sits at the far western end of the borough, near the reservoirs and Bushy Park. Hampton station is on the slow branch line to Waterloo. The village centre along Station Road and the High Street has a decent cluster of shops and a few pubs. Housing is mostly 1930s semis with some Victorian terraces closer to the station. Hampton Court Palace is technically just over the bridge in Molesey, but it shapes the character of this end of the borough. It's noticeably cheaper than Richmond or Twickenham, and feels more like suburban Surrey than London.
