East Molesey is the more interesting half. Bridge Road has proper independent shops, a few good restaurants, and enough going on that you do not need to drive to Esher or Kingston for everything. Hampton Court station is walkable, and the palace grounds and Bushy Park are right there. The streets closest to the river and the palace are Edwardian and Victorian, quite attractive, with some larger detached houses fetching serious money. Further back from the river it becomes more mixed, with 1930s semis and some post-war housing. The Hurst Park area along the river is popular with dog walkers and runners. It feels like a proper community with its own identity, not just a suburb of somewhere else.
