St Margarets & North Twickenham

St Margarets has a lovely little cluster of shops and restaurants around the Crown roundabout, anchored by the Crown pub. It feels self-contained despite being sandwiched between Richmond and Twickenham. The streets are lined with handsome Edwardian houses, many with good-sized gardens. St Margarets station gets you to Waterloo in about 25 minutes. Marble Hill Park and the river are walkable. North Twickenham blends into this, sharing the same leafy suburban character. It's popular with families who find Richmond too expensive but want the same feel.
