Whitton feels more like Hounslow than Richmond, which is reflected in the prices. The High Street has the basics but it's not going to win any awards. Housing is predominantly 1930s semis with some postwar builds, and you get noticeably more space for your money than in Twickenham or Teddington. Whitton station has services to Waterloo. The rugby ground is walkable, so match days have an impact. Kneller Hall (the former military music school) is being redeveloped for housing, which will change the area. It's the entry-level option for the borough, honest and practical.
