Shefford

A quiet Bedfordshire market town that feels more like a large village. The centre has just enough to get by day to day but you will be driving to Hitchin or Bedford for anything more. Streets are a mix of older cottages near the high street and 1970s onwards estates spreading outward. No station, which keeps it off the radar for London commuters, though Arlesey is a short drive and gets you into King's Cross in under an hour. Popular with families who want affordable space and do not mind being car-dependent.
