Milton Regis

Milton Regis is older than Sittingbourne and was once its own town. The historic core around the church and the Court Hall is genuinely interesting, one of the oldest inhabited sites in Kent. But the area has struggled. Much of the housing is social or ex-council, and the high street has seen better days. It is one of the more deprived parts of the borough. There is real history here if you look for it, but the day-to-day reality is fairly rough.
