Nunhead has quietly become one of the more appealing spots in south-east London. The cemetery is magnificent, one of the Magnificent Seven, and the views from the top across the city are worth the walk. Nunhead Green has a few good pubs and a growing cluster of independent shops. Victorian terraces on the residential streets. It is less polished than neighbouring East Dulwich and a bit cheaper, which is part of the appeal. Nunhead station has trains into London Bridge. The community feel is strong, with a proper local identity that has not been marketed away yet.
