It has been earmarked for the Bakerloo line extension for years, and the promise of a tube station has triggered massive development plans. Right now it is a corridor rather than a neighbourhood. The side streets have a mix of council housing and Victorian terraces. The area has high rental turnover. If the tube ever actually arrives, this area will change beyond recognition, but people have been saying that for a decade.
