Peckham Rye

Peckham Rye Common and Peckham Rye Park together make a generous green space that gives this area its character. The streets around the common have some of the nicest Victorian houses in SE15, and the area feels noticeably calmer than central Peckham a mile to the north. Peckham Rye station has direct trains to London Bridge and the Overground to Shoreditch. The cafes and shops along Bellenden Road are excellent. It has become a proper family area for people who like being near Peckham's energy without being in the thick of it.
