North Cheam is the stretch along the A24 between Cheam and Morden, centred on the crossroads with its small parade of shops. It's less villagey than Cheam proper and more of a through-route suburb. Housing is mostly 1930s semis, some with loft conversions and extensions. The nearest station is either Cheam or Morden (Northern line), neither especially close. Families choose it because it's more affordable than Cheam but still in the grammar school catchment area.
