Toddington is a proper village on a hill between Luton and Dunstable, centred around a wide village green with a pond and a war memorial. The green is the focal point and gives it a distinctly rural feel despite being only a few miles from the M1. There is a primary school, a church, a few pubs including the Oddfellows Arms, and a small parade of shops, but you will be driving to Dunstable or Luton for a proper supermarket. Housing is a mix of older stone and brick cottages near the centre with 1960s and 70s estates spreading outward, plus some newer builds on the edges. No train station in the village itself, so commuters head to Harlington for the Thameslink into St Pancras or Leagrave for a slightly different route. It is a settled, quiet place that appeals to families who want village life with relatively easy access to the motorway network.
