Pembury

Pembury is a proper village about two miles east of the town centre, with a village green, a church, a pub, and a primary school. It's where Tunbridge Wells Hospital is located, which brings some traffic but also employment. The village has kept its identity despite the proximity to town. Housing is a mix of older village cottages, 1960s and 70s estates, and some newer development. The village green and surrounding countryside give it a rural character. There's a strong community feel, with an active village hall and annual fete.
