The streets around Battersea Park are some of the most expensive in the borough. Grand Victorian and Edwardian houses, many of them still single dwellings, on quiet tree-lined roads. The park itself is excellent, one of the best in London, with a proper boating lake, a children's zoo, and good playgrounds. Being between the park and the river gives it a particular feel, almost village-like for somewhere so central. Battersea Park station is the closest rail link but most people drive or cycle to a tube.
