Clapham Junction is one of the busiest stations in Europe, and the area around it reflects that. St John's Road and Northcote Road are the two main strips. St John's is more chain-heavy, Northcote Road is the one with the delis and the weekend market. Housing is Victorian terraces, a lot of them converted, with prices that reflect the transport links. You can get almost anywhere from the Junction, which is genuinely its main advantage. It is noisy and busy around the station but the residential streets are calm enough.
