Blewbury & Harwell

Blewbury is one of those villages that makes people stop and look. Thatched cottages, cob walls, a stream running through, and a proper village feel that hasn't been diluted by modern estates. Harwell village is similar but quieter, and sits just down the road from Harwell Campus (formerly AERA/Rutherford Appleton) which brings in scientists and engineers who like the idea of cycling to work from a picture-postcard village. The primary school in Blewbury is well thought of. Housing is a mix of genuinely old period cottages and some newer infill, and it's not cheap. Didcot Parkway is the nearest big station for London, about ten minutes by car.
