Sherrards is on the north-western side of WGC, named after Sherrardspark Wood, which is a large ancient woodland right on its edge. This is one of the more appealing parts of WGC for people who want green space. The housing includes some of the original garden city designs as well as later 20th-century builds. Sherrardspark Road has some of the larger properties in WGC. It is quiet, leafy, and feels a step removed from the busier eastern side of town.
