Bucklebury is a scattered parish across a ridge between the Pang and Kennet valleys. There is no single village centre as such, more a series of hamlets and lanes with houses tucked into woodland and common land. The Middleton family connection brought attention but the area was already quietly well-off. Bucklebury Common is genuinely lovely for walks. The primary school is popular. You need a car for everything, the nearest supermarket is in Thatcham or Newbury. Housing is expensive and ranges from thatched cottages to larger country houses.
