Aveley

Aveley is an Essex village that still has an old core around the green and St Michael's church, but the edges have been filled in with newer housing estates over the decades. It sits between the M25 and the A13, which you hear depending on which side you live. Purfleet station on the c2c line gets you to Fenchurch Street in about 25 minutes, which is genuinely decent for the prices out here. There's not much in the way of shops locally, just a small parade, so most people drive to Lakeside or the retail parks along the A13. Families like it because it's quiet and the houses are bigger than what you'd get closer in for the same money.
