The Old Town centres on a wide high street with period buildings, coaching inns turned gastropubs, and a decent run of independent shops. The New Town around the station is more suburban but still well kept, with large detached houses on leafy roads. Beaconsfield station on the Chiltern Main Line gets you to Marylebone in under 25 minutes, which is the main reason City money landed here. Bekonscot Model Village is a quirky local landmark. Schools are strong and it's very much a family town, but you'll need serious money to buy here. The whole place has that quiet confidence of somewhere that knows exactly what it is.
