Great Burstead and South Green sit to the south of Billericay town centre. It has a more rural, villagey character than the main town, with St Mary Magdalen church as a centrepiece and a few country pubs. The housing thins out towards the edges with some larger detached properties on generous plots. Norsey Wood on the northern edge is an ancient woodland and a proper local asset. It feels like the quieter, countryside fringe of Billericay, and you'll need a car for most things. Families and retirees make up the bulk of residents.
