Laindon Park covers the area around Laindon station and the remains of the old Laindon Centre, which was partially demolished and is still waiting for something better to replace it. Housing is a mix of new town stock from the 1950s and 60s, some newer builds, and pockets of older housing that survived the new town clearances. The High Road has a few shops but most people drive to the Basildon town centre or Festival Leisure Park for anything substantial. It's functional and affordable, the kind of place where you get a three-bed house for less than a flat costs further up the c2c line.
