Bishop's Stortford Central

The town centre and the streets immediately around it. This is where the character is. North Street, Potter Street, and the area around South Street have independent shops, cafes, and restaurants that give Stortford a distinctly different feel from other commuter towns. The Jackson Square shopping centre covers the chain side of things. The station is here, which makes it the obvious choice for commuters who want to walk to the platform. Housing is a mix of period townhouses, flats above shops, and some converted buildings. Thursday and Saturday markets on the main street.
