Chelsfield village is a tiny hamlet with a medieval church, a pub, and not much else. The station at Chelsfield is actually a good walk from the village itself, sitting closer to the more built-up area around Green Street Green. The village feels properly rural and is surrounded by green belt. Housing is a mix of older cottages and some larger houses. It's one of those London places that doesn't feel like London at all.
