Trinity is the heart of Rayleigh, covering the town centre, the High Street, and the Mount. This is where the character is. The Wednesday market is a proper draw and the High Street has enough independent shops and cafes to make it worth a wander. Holy Trinity church sits at the top of the hill and gives the ward its name. Housing is more varied here than in the outer wards, with Victorian and Edwardian terraces near the centre alongside the usual interwar stock. Rayleigh station is right here, which makes it the obvious choice for commuters who want to walk to the train.
