Mottingham

Mottingham straddles the border of Bromley, Greenwich and Lewisham. The Mottingham Estate, built in the 1930s as a London County Council development, gives it a distinctive interwar character. The parade of shops on Mottingham Road covers the basics. Mottingham station has trains to Victoria via Bromley South. It's affordable by local standards and unpretentious. Fairy Hill Park and the Royal Blackheath Golf Club border the area. It doesn't get much attention, which means it doesn't get much hype inflation either.
