West Hampstead

West Hampstead has three stations within a few minutes' walk: Jubilee line, Thameslink, and Overground. That transport triple-whammy is a huge part of its appeal. West End Lane has a strong run of cafes, restaurants and independent shops. Housing is predominantly large Victorian and Edwardian conversions, with some newer flat developments. It's popular with young professionals and couples who want to be well connected without living in the centre. The area has gentrified significantly over the past fifteen years, and prices reflect that. It's pleasant and convenient without being especially characterful.
