Stroud Green

Stroud Green sits on the border with Islington, just north of Finsbury Park. Stroud Green Road has developed a decent strip of cafes, restaurants, and independents. It's basically Crouch End's younger, rawer cousin. Victorian terraces line the side streets, and Finsbury Park station (Victoria, Piccadilly lines, plus overground) is the main transport hub. Finsbury Park itself is a proper London park with a running track, tennis courts, and weekend events. The area has gentrified significantly but still feels more mixed than Crouch End proper.
