Marconi

Named after the Marconi works that used to be here, this area on the eastern side of the centre has seen significant redevelopment. The old factory site has been turned into housing and there's been a wave of new flats and townhouses. It's walkable to the station and the High Street, which is the main selling point. The housing is a mix of the new stuff and some older terraces and social housing. It still feels like it's finding its identity after the regeneration.
