Bisham is a small riverside hamlet between Marlow and Cookham. The abbey and the national sports centre are the main landmarks, but the residential part is a handful of lanes with large detached houses and some older cottages. There is no shop, no pub you would walk to on a Tuesday evening. You are reliant on a car for everything. Families here tend to use schools in Marlow or Cookham. It is the sort of place where you know every neighbour and the postman knows your dog's name. Very pretty, very quiet, and deeply rural.
