Selhurst is dominated by Crystal Palace FC's ground at Selhurst Park, which brings noise and traffic on match days. The rest of the time it's a residential area of Victorian terraces and some interwar housing. Selhurst station has Southern and Overground services. The high street along Selhurst Road is functional rather than exciting. It's affordable by Croydon standards and genuinely diverse. Close enough to East Croydon to benefit from the transport links without the town centre prices.
