Three distinct villages bundled together but each with its own character. Brockham has a big village green where they still do bonfire night properly, a pub, and a real sense of community. Betchworth is tiny and tucked away, proper chocolate box Surrey. Box Hill is famous for the National Trust viewpoint and the cycling, but the actual residential part at the bottom near Burford Bridge is small and quiet. Housing is expensive across all three, mostly period cottages and larger detached houses. You need a car for everything. Dorking or Leatherhead are your nearest towns, and Box Hill & Westhumble station gives you a direct train to Victoria.
