Capel Leigh and Newdigate

Deep rural Surrey, south of Dorking towards the Sussex border. Newdigate has a village pub and church, Capel has a bit more to it with a small shop and a cricket club. Leigh (pronounced Lye) is the quietest of the three, picture postcard village with a green. These are places where you genuinely need two cars and probably a 4x4 in winter. Housing is a mix of older cottages, farmhouses, and some larger modern houses on bigger plots. People choose to live here for the space and the countryside, not the convenience.
