North Acton has been transformed by student accommodation towers and new-build private rental blocks, clustered around the Central line station. It used to be essentially an industrial area and some of that legacy remains in the warehouses and trading estates. The A40 runs through, making it noisy. Victoria Road has a strip of cafes and shops that have appeared to serve the new population. It's young and heavily rental, with high tenant turnover. Convenient for getting into central London but there's no community fabric to speak of yet.
